In April 2009 I traveled to Nigeria as the recipient of a fellowship from Global Fund for Children and Nike Foundation, in partnership with the International Center of Photography. I spent two weeks in Lagos and Kaduna photographing the work of two local organizations whose aim is to educate, protect and empower young women.
